The upper is made entirely of artificial pony hair and has a mottled black and white design that is reminiscent of a pony. While the base is a bit smooth, Vans Vault has left the edges of the slip-on shoe untrimmed and sees a furry collar around the opening of the shoe and its tongue area.
In the usual form, the Style 53 has a penny loafer-like strap with the iconic eye-shaped slit in the middle that sits on top of the vamp. This formal element contrasts with informal design elements like a black vulcanized rubber sole, which is chunkier than, say, Vans’ slip-on offerings, largely due to its heavy-duty outsole.
The bold new Style 53 LX is rounded off by the darkened license plate on the heel and the tone-white Vans tongue, which is located on the side under the collar of the shoe. Check out the Vans Vault UA OG Style 53 LX in “Pony / White / Black” above and pick up a pair of vendors like Allike, where the sneaker retails for $ 156.86.
