Breathtaking sunrises

In Salento, the day begins with a show of the bright pink sunrise over the Adriatic. For the best view of dawn, travelers traveled to the breathtaking cliffs of Guardiola Beach in the coastal town of Corsano.

Cliffside walks

Before the afternoon, the Siems and their friends traveled north to the Otranto coast to see the 16th century tower of Sant’Emiliano. The seaside cliffs are covered in poppies and thistle flowers that add a touch of landscape to the coast. It is a natural theater, ideal for thinking about life. In fact, Charlie Siem played “Recitativo and Scherzo-Caprice, Op. 6 ”as an ode to the beauty of this remote corner of Italy.

Local stimuli

In Salentos Santa Maria di Leuca, the adventure awaited the travelers at the lighthouse. Even in the city center, scents of citrus and jasmine are carried by the sea breeze. Apollonian and Epicurean influences that characterize the art of Italian living were evident at every turn – from historical heritage to unspoiled nature to traditional seafood dishes, some of the most enviable in the country. Especially in summer, the region is a perfect symbol of living La Dolce Vita in a real Italian style.

Picturesque lunch

For lunch, the travelers moved to the Palazzo Daniele – an aristocratic mansion from 1861 in Gagliano del Capo. In typical Italian style, the group gathered around the table to have homemade pasta for an al fresco lunch by the hotel pool. The Palazzo Daniele is more than a simple luxury hotel. It is a retreat for artists and cosmopolitans, elegant travelers and art lovers from all over the world. Gagliano del Capo is located in the extreme south of the Salento peninsula and continues to make international headlines with its creative exhibitions.

Calm colors

Once the blue hues of the sky begin to intensify, it’s time to move towards Porto Badisco. There the colors of the water meet those of the sky to create a landscape suitable for a postcard. Turquoise, dusty blue, intensely cerulean; It is no coincidence that the shades of the sea perfectly reflect those of the André collection.

Inspirational evenings

At the end of the weekend adventure, the travelers made their way to Punta Ristola – known as the southernmost house in Puglia – for an evening show. The historic mansion, painted in airy white, became the backdrop for a spontaneous concert that demonstrated Charlie Siem’s talent on the violin. The intense blue of his Loro Piana outfit alongside the tonal white painted a striking image that perfectly reflected the essence of the Mediterranean style.

Clouds fading from pink to orange marked the arrival of the most romantic moment of the day: sunset. As the sun set on Poets’ Bay, the travelers surveyed the calm Ionian Sea and found that they were living the Italian Bella Vita.
