EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – After the COVID-19 pandemic brought live music to a standstill at the Speaking Rock Entertainment Center for more than a year, it’s back to live music with new precautions to keep people safe guarantee.
Speaking Rock officials said people had to remain seated during the shows and that the tables were three feet apart. The live music is played outdoors.

The live music is first come, first served and seats around 300 people.
“We work with all staff and customers to make sure everyone is safe. We have two doctors and nurses who are working with us right now to open up safely and keep our customers safe,” said Leandro Puente, Director of Emergency Services at Speaking rock.

“I’ve missed that the longest,” said Alfredo Rivas. “I used to be a regular, I have to get used to it again.”
Before entering the facility, guests must enter a sanitary station, which will check the temperature and spray a light mist for disinfection.
Puente said they worked with medical experts to plan a safe reopening and return of live events.
“We work with all employees and customers to make sure everyone is safe. We have two doctors and nurses working with us right now to open up safely and keep our customers safe,” said Ascension Mena, the medical director.
