“We are delighted to be honored by the Advanced Imaging Society for The Third Floor’s work on our tablet-based AR app Cyclops. Cyclops started out as a passion project for me, ”said Eric Carney, co-founder and VFX supervisor on the third floor. “Whenever I was out on sets and location scouts, I wanted to give department heads and crew a better way to see the VFX magic that is being added in the mail. Tennis balls on sticks will only get you that far. We built Cyclops so that everyone had an easy-to-use tool that they could use to visualize VFX components for storytelling in the context of the real-life shoot. We think it’s fantastic progress and we’re proud to have it recognized. ”

With ClearView Flex, crews can securely and effectively collaborate on video content in real time, even when the entire team cannot be in the same room due to time, travel and budget constraints or unforeseen events like COVID-19.
