Nonprofit displaying appreciation for Calera women elevating cash

CALERA, Ala. (WBRC) – A heartwarming update on a story we follow. Community members work together to show their appreciation two young girls in Calera who are collecting money to pay for expenses after the fatal motorway accident in June.

We introduced you to 8 year old Maggie and Jamison, who are behind the fundraiser. The girls wanted to give something back after that tragic I-65 accident that killed 8 children aboard the Tallapoosa County Girls’ Ranch Van. The duo have been selling soda for the past week and are selling the last large batch of soda at Calera’s First Friday event.

They wanted to raise $ 200 – now it’s a few thousand.

Founder of the Shelby County’s Bikes 4 Kids nonprofit heard about the girls’ efforts and wanted to show his appreciation. Charlie Bradford’s family was affected by this devastating accident. His nonprofit makes custom bikes for kids for free, and today he surprised the girls with a $ 100 donation and news that he would build them two custom lemonade-themed bikes.

“My son had a friend who was killed in the crash. She was one of the older girls, “said Charlie Bradford, founder of Bikes 4 Kids, Inc.” Then when I read about what the girls were doing, I thought it was great. They do what I did – they try to help as best they can. “

The girls will start designing the new bikes next week. If you are a business owner and want to donate for bike assembly, contact Bikes 4 Kids, Inc.

Sandia Labs creates software program exhibiting how a lot cash could be saved utilizing vitality storage

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – Sandia National Laboratories released a new software application that can help companies find out how much they can save by adding an energy storage system. The application called search, can also provide various scenarios and model the potential of solutions.

Virgin Galactic announces VSS Unity test flight in May

In a press release, Sandia explains that renewable energy sources like solar panels and wind turbines do not produce electricity continuously. Energy storage systems such as lithium-ion battery-based designs and pumped storage hydropower can increase the stability and reliability of the power grid.

Quest has two tools, an enterprise and civil infrastructure analysis tool, and a market analysis tool that utility companies can use to assess how much revenue an energy storage system would generate. Sandia electrical engineer Tu Nguyen explains that the analysis tool can help companies or city project managers estimate how much money an energy storage system will save when combined with solar panels or additional power generators.

A consumer can enter their location and tariff structure that they are paying for, and they can also enter the type of renewable electricity system they have or want to install. Nguyen states in the press release that during certain times when demand is high, electricity providers typically charge more per kilowatt hour.

The newly discovered quasicrystal was created by the first atomic bomb test

By reducing electricity consumption during these times, the energy storage system saves customers electricity costs. Sandia reports that the market analysis tool was developed to help small utility companies understand how much revenue an energy storage system would generate by providing services to improve grid stability. The tool reportedly contains data for seven energy markets in North America.

Sandia also offers webinars and tutorials to help new software users understand how the software runs.

While demonstrating his entertainment center, which he called “The Orson Welles Room,” Ebert first stated that he had a 45 “screen because the 50” screen would not fit down the stairs. He then said, “Anyone with a large TV screen needs LaserVision to get a good picture on the screen because it gives you a lot more definition.”

LaserVision or LaserDisc first came to the United States in 1978 and was a home video format and the first commercial optical storage medium. LaserDisc was a major upgrade from VHS, offering 425 lines of resolution as opposed to 240 lines of VHS. LaserDisc also offered digital audio over analog audio.

By today’s standards, LaserVision also had huge optical discs that resembled the size and shape of vinyl records. Ebert even commented that they looked like they were eating some of it in Close Encounters in the spaceship [of the Third Kind]. “

While it never quite reached the popularity of DVD in the US, it was popular in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. It also laid the foundation for CD, DVD and Blu-Ray.

Roger Ebert was the first film critic to win the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism and worked for the Chicago Sun-Times from 1987 to 1987 his death in 2013 at the age of 70.

A fan started one Reddit Thread on the topic and shared a few photos from the recent public sightings of Kourtney and Travis. “Anyone else obsessed with that rocker-chic look that Kourtney is going for right now? I love it,” they said. The photos included the couple’s most recent date for a UFC fight and later that evening when they went to dinner. Another photo is from her recent tour of West Hollywood and dinner. Each time Kourtney put on black clothes that matched the rocker “All The Small Things”. “It’s not even a big change,” claimed one person. “She’s always loved black clothes and they look great when she’s wearing them.”

They went on to note “the lollipop thing” Kourtney did, but added that it could be “CBD or THC” from Travis’ cannabis company. Unfortunately, others agreed that Kourtney looks great in black. “It fits her personality so well,” added a Redditor. “Kourt looks like she’s having fun,” they added.
