Saweetie also carried a vintage Louis Vuitton handbag made in collaboration with Takashi Murakami. The partnership between Murakami and then creative director Marc Jacobs began in 2003 with the renowned Multicolor Monogram collection, which includes the brand’s signature handbags in white and black leather with their logos printed in 33 colors. Saweetie’s style stems from this prestigious collection, the models of which all rose to “it-bag” status after being worn by stars like Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Naomi Campbell and others. Saweetie Redefines Errand-Operating Fashion in Lace Jumpsuit & Pumps for a Journey to Walmart

Saweetie is known for rocking bold looks on the red carpet and on stage, but the rap star has just taken her daring style to a new and funky place: Walmart.

Over the weekend, Saweetie went on Instagram to promote the Kiss Colors Edge Fixer Glued product and shared a video of her driving around Walmart in a shopping cart. For the occasion, Saweetie wore a black jumpsuit – which, of course, suited an icy girl. The number had a zip and was embroidered with a swirl pattern on a glittering black material.

Saweetie was then equipped with solid hoop earrings as well as a diamond chain and a matching bracelet. The pop singer “Tap In” also had a sage green Hermes Birkin bag in her car.

As for the shoes, Saweetie added a polished touch to the jumpsuit in a pair of shoes that weren’t traditionally intended for the grocery store. She decided on a pair of shiny black pumps. The pointed toe shoes were made of patent leather and sat on a stiletto heel.

When it comes to fashion, Saweetie doesn’t shy away from bold statements. She likes to mix high-end brands like Valentino, Thierry Mugler, Saint Laurent and more with streetwear pieces. When she’s not in heels or thigh-high boots, Saweetie often wears sneakers, including busy kicks by Jordan Brand and Adidas. The artist not only indulges trends, he also sets them. Last year she launched her third collection, PrettyLittleThing.

NEW YORK (AP) – Platinum-selling artists of part Asian origins, including R&B singer Jhené Aiko and rapper Saweetie, will appear on a TV special from the Asian American Foundation, the newly formed organization to improve AAPI advocacy.

TAAF announced on Thursday that English icon Sting will also appear on “See Us Unite for Change – The Asian-American Foundation Serving the AAPI Community”. It will air on May 21 on a number of channels including MTV, BET, VH1, Comedy Central and Facebook Watch.

TAAF is launching as anti-AAPI hatred and violence persist at alarming rates. Actor Ken Jeong will host the special, which will include appearances by Daniel Dae Kim and Lisa Ling and “will include testimonials from leading figures in Asian American public life and those working to bring about change,” the organizers said.

The TV special coincides with the TAAF “See Us Unite” campaign launched on Thursday designed to expand support for the AAPI community. The Ford Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, the Henry Luce Foundation, and the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation have partnered with TAAF for the campaign. Funds raised will benefit several grassroots-led efforts including Stop AAPI Hate and Asian Americans Advancing Justice.

Aiko, a part Japanese, is one of the top stars of R&B and has achieved multi-platinum status with songs like “Sativa”, “While We Are Young” and “The Worst”. Saweetie is of Chinese, Filipino and Black descent and has released hits like “Tap In”, “My Type” and “Best Friend”.
