By submitting an entry to this Contest submitted to you by KPRC 2 (“Station”) and Mason & Sons (the “Sponsor”), Entrant acknowledges and agrees to all of these official Contest Rules (“Official Rules”) .     1. PROMOTION DATES

    a. Munch Money (“Promotion”) will begin on 7 a.m. CT 08/23/2021 and end on 7 p.m. 11/15/2021.

    2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

    a. The Promotion is open to all legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia (except NY and FL) who are 15 years of age or older at the time of entry and who live in the Rockford DMA service area (Ogle, Winnebago, Lee, Boone, and Stephenson counties).

    Employees of 23 WIFR (the “Station”), its parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other broadcasting stations in the Rockford DMA service area, and the members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings or children) or households (whether related or not) are ineligible to participate or win.     5. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

    a. Decisions of Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.

    b. Contestants will be selected at site of Football Frenzy live broadcasts each Friday of contest period.

    c. Winner(s) (or their parents or legal guardians if under the age of majority) must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and release, publicity release, and/or guest/traveling companion release within ten (10) days of notification attempt or winner will be disqualified and the prize will be forfeited. If a potential winner(s) cannot be contacted, fails to complete, sign and return any required affidavit of eligibility and release, publicity release, and/or guest/traveling companion release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner(s) will be disqualified and will forfeit the prize.     b.     ii. acknowledge that the Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion, not to use the Materials at all; and

    iii. represent and warrant that: you are 18 years of age or older; you have the full legal right, power and authority to grant to the Station the license provided for herein; you own or control the complete exhibition and other rights to the Materials you submitted for the purposes contemplated in this license; you are either the parent (or legal guardian) of any minor featured in the Materials or have received the express consent of the parent (or legal guardian) for any such minor to appear in the Materials and to enter the minor’s likeness in the Materials in the contest; and neither the Materials nor the exercise of the rights granted herein shall infringe upon or violate the right of privacy or right of publicity of, or constitute a libel or slander against, or violate any common law or any other right of, any person or entity.

    The CEO of leading PR and consulting firm Teneo, who previously served as special envoy for Northern Ireland under the then Foreign Secretary Hillary Clinton, resigned Tuesday after the aftermath of his drunken behavior last month at a high profile charity event.

    Declan Kelly’s embarrassing departure came days later General Motors broke up with Teneo because of his behavior and resigned weeks after he stepped down from the board of directors of the nonprofit group Global Citizen that hosted the May 2 event in question.

    General Motors was a customer of Teneo, a 1,200-strong company co-founded by Doug Band, a former advisor to the ex-president Bill Clinton.

    Besides working for GM, The Teneo reportedly paid an amount of $ 250,000 per month, Kelly has also acted as a consultant for General electrics and coke.

    Kelly, who also chaired Teneo, is the brother of Alan Kelly, the leader of the Labor Party in Ireland.

    Declan Kelly, who previously worked as a reporter for several newspapers in Ireland, served Hillary Clinton as Special Envoy for Economics from 2009 to 2011 when she headed the State Department under former President Barack Obama. Watson alleges through his attorneys that: (1) eight of the plaintiffs “boasted, praised, and were excited about massaging Watson”; (2) seven of the plaintiffs “worked willingly or offered to work with Watson”, “after their alleged incidents”; (3) three plaintiffs “lied about the number of meetings they actually had” with Watson; (4) five plaintiffs “lied about their alleged trauma and the damage it caused”; (4) Five plaintiffs told others they wanted to get money out of Watson. and (5) five plaintiffs “cleaned or completely deleted their social media accounts”.

    At the top of page 2 of the document is the claim: “It was only when plaintiffs saw an opportunity to rob money that they changed their stories to turn therapy sessions they bragged about into something much more nefarious.” the document claims that the characterizations of Watson’s behavior range “from misleading to fraudulent to defamatory”.

    The document paints all of the plaintiffs with this brush, claiming that they are all working to secure money from Watson. The document also lists specific issues with numerous plaintiffs’ allegations on pages 3 through 5, although the document was filed in a case that is only relevant to the Ashley Solis allegations.

    With regard to their allegations, the document relies solely on a “general disapproval” without answering the various allegations in paragraphs. Presumably, Watson will submit a similar document in response to each of the other 21 cases.

    The aim of such an aggressive position could be to motivate plaintiffs to settle down before the discovery process results in the investigation of documents and the questioning of each plaintiff under oath. If the cases are not resolved, that is exactly what will happen. All plaintiffs, as well as Watson, will have aggressive questions and other investigations as both sides attempt to prepare for eventual trial in each of these 22 cases.

    In a message to The Associated Press late Sunday evening, Gao said he was speaking about efficacy rates for “vaccines in the world, not specifically for China.” He did not answer any further questions about the vaccines he was referring to.

    He referred the AP to an interview with the state-run Global Times, which published several articles that cast doubts about the safety of Pfizer’s mRNA vaccine.     Studies have shown that Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, which are mainly used in developed countries, have about 95% protection against COVID-19.

    As of April 2, around 34 million people in China have received full two doses of Chinese vaccines, and about 65 million have received one, according to Gao.

    Globally, public health experts have said that any vaccine that is 50% effective would be useful, and many governments have been eager to use Chinese vaccines as rich countries around the world have taken pictures of Pfizer and Moderna.

    WHO director general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreysus said Friday that while one in four people in rich countries received a vaccine, only one in 500 people in poorer countries received a dose.

    The coronavirus pandemic, first spotted in central China in late 2019, marks the first time the Chinese drug industry has played a role in responding to a global health emergency.

    Vaccines from Sinovac, a privately held company, and Sinopharm, a state-owned company, make up the bulk of China’s vaccines, which are sold in several dozen countries, including Mexico, Turkey, Indonesia, Hungary, Brazil, and Turkey.

    However, the companies have not released publicly peer-reviewed data on end-stage clinical trial research and have been criticized for a lack of transparency.

    For example, Sinovac’s vaccine gave cause for concern when it was found to have different rates of effectiveness ranging from 50% to over 83% in each of the studies conducted in different countries.

    A Sinovac spokesperson, Liu Peicheng, admitted varying levels of effectiveness were noted, but said it could be due to the age of the people in a study, the strain of the virus, and other factors.

    Beijing has not yet approved foreign vaccines for use in mainland China.

    Sinovac spokesman Liu said studies have shown that protection “may be better” if the time between vaccinations is longer than the current 14 days, but gave no indication that this could be made standard practice.
