Trooping the Color is always a highlight for the royal family, and on Saturday the Queen celebrated her birthday in style in her mother’s symbolic brooch and a chic gray coat by Angela Kelly.
Trooping the Color is always a highlight for the royal family as it marks the birthday of Her Majesty the Queen. On Saturday, June 12th, the king celebrated in style in a chic gray ensemble and a symbolic brooch.

Her Majesty wore a gray lemon blossom jacquard coat with a matching Angela Kelly hat, and she wore the same attire for the official state opening in May of that year.

The monarch looked radiant and paired her stylish outfit with a striking blue brooch that was a nod to the Queen Mother. The Aquamarine Art Deco brooch was handed down from her late mother and the Queen has worn it several times since then. Royal fans saw it at Royal Ascot in 2014 and Buckingham Palace’s garden party in 2017.

The ceremony that year was much more reserved, with the monarch’s cousin, the Duke of Kent, at Her Majesty’s side in his role as Colonel of the Scottish Guard for the parade that was held in the Quadrangle at Windsor Castle.
The parade was attended by 73 male and female troops wearing full regalia against the backdrop of the sunshine in Windsor.

It has been a busy week of public outings for the Queen as she traveled with senior members of the royal family to the G7 Summit in Cornwall. She also celebrated the 100th birthday of her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, on Thursday.
Although it was an emotional day, the monarch had a lot to celebrate happy news.

Her Majesty is a huge fan of horse racing and owns many thoroughbred horses.
And one of them, Wink Of An Eye, made the royal proud when the three-year-old brown gelding won the Windle Handicap, which was held at Haydock Park.

The horse was the favorite to win with 5/6 and was ridden by 35-year-old jockey Daniel Tudhope.
In a post-race statement, Daniel said: “You are always honored to drive for Her Majesty and To win for them on the 100th birthday of the Duke of Edinburgh is particularly poignant. “
