Immediately after winning a huge gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival, Coronado Brewing Company announced the launch of their newest year-round offering, Palm Sway Island-Style IPA. The Island-Style IPA is an ale that offers certain characteristics of a cloudy IPA (i.e. tropical, juicy) but ends up clear and crisp through the use of Cal Ale yeast. It’s filled with an abundance of hops from New Zealand and the West Coast, including Chinook, Citra, Comet, El Dorado, Mosaic, Motueka, and Waimea, which give the beer incredibly juicy, fruity notes of pineapple, mango, stone fruit, citrus, and pine.

“In 2020 we brewed an island-style collaboration with our friends at Maui Brewing that was an absolute hit,” says Mark Theisen, Head Brewer of the Coronado Brewing Company. “We knew that at some point the style would be a perfect match for our year-round portfolio, so we got down to work at the brewery. After months of research and development, we were finally ready and very excited to send the beer to GABF for evaluation. The gold medal last weekend is just the icing on the cake. “

Palm Sway Island-Style IPA is a mellow beer specially made to get you into the island state of mind. Imagine opening your first beer with your feet up while a breeze is blowing in your favorite island paradise. For some it is the white sandy beaches of Hawaii, for others it is the perfect shady spot under a palm tree in front of the Hotel Del Coronado. Wherever that place is where you can truly escape the real world, Palm Sway is brewed to get you there.

Palm Sway offers our year-round beer portfolio a completely new and unique flavor profile. Our award-winning Weekend Vibes have an incredibly bright and crisp profile, while Palm Sway offers a very juicy and tropical taste experience. “The craft beer industry is very much driven by India Pale Ales, and we have absolutely more room to grow in that style segment,” said Clinton Smith, CCO of Coronado Brewing Company. “Palm Sway is officially an award-winning IPA after the Great American Beer Festival, and the excitement for this launch has been tremendous among our team, our distributors and retailers.”

Palm Sway IPA debuts on Friday, September 24th at the three Coronado locations. The beer will be available in 16-ounce cans of 6-packs and on tap throughout Coronado’s distribution network. For more information on Palm Sway, see www.coronadobrewing.com. Stay on the coast. Thank you very much.

Lionel Messi information: Paris Saint-Germain introduces newest signing in model for first Ligue 1 recreation

Lionel Messi is not yet making his Ligue 1 debut for Paris Saint-Germain but that didn’t stop the club from introducing him to the home crowd in style.

The Argentine legend made headlines earlier this month when he was forced to leave Barcelona, the only club he has ever known. La Liga were unable to incorporate Messi’s massive contract into its existing economic structure, which resulted in the club letting the star go. PSG and Manchester city were considered the prime contenders for Messi’s services, with the French giants collapsing days later to finalize the deal.

Messi’s arrival solidifies a fantastic summer for PSG. The club added Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Georginio Wijnaldum to strengthen a squad with Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Angel di Maria. The club were already heavily favored to win Ligue 1, but Messi’s entry almost certainly makes that title.

PSG will focus on the Champions League, it didn’t win something. The French club reached the final in 2019-20 but lost to Bayern Munich. This year PSG couldn’t get past Manchester City in the semifinals. With Messi on board, this could be a huge year for PSG’s trophy case.

Metropolis lawmaker introduces invoice to boost reward cash for info in violent crime

Increase in reward money to get violent criminals off the streets. A Baltimore city council tabled a bill Monday night that it believes more people will seek tips from the police. It is a community-wide effort calling for an end to violence in order to honor the victims and support their families. Family closure is part of the goal of a new constitutional amendment proposed by Baltimore Councilor Isaac “Yitzy” Schleiffer to offer large rewards for information about violent crimes such as shootings and murders. “This is a proven method that, with rewards – high dollar rewards – makes people more likely to share the information they have,” Schleiffer said. Schleiffer points out that rewards worth $ 2,000 or $ 3,000 don’t often get as much exposure as those in the $ 10,000 or $ 20,000 range, or even higher. The amendment to the statutes would set up a fund drawn from monies such as foundations and donations. The city council recently set up a similar fund for publicly funded campaigns. It just gets better. So, at the moment, rewards are already being offered, but it actually raises that level, “said Schleiffer.” We really just want to help solve crimes across the city and increase our detection rate, which will ultimately reduce crime in a short period of time. “The next step is a hearing on the amendment, which Schleiffer hopes will be on the ballot in 2022.
