Cramer rejects Buffett’s stance on inventory selecting, favors hybrid mannequin

CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Monday denied Warren Buffett’s claim that Wall Street’s new retail investors will remain away from individual stock selection in favor of investing in index funds.

“I don’t want it to sound easy. If you want to invest like Peter Lynch, you have to actually visit these places or try things on, whatever piques your curiosity,” Cramer said, suggesting that viewers read Lynch’s book. “But I think a game or two of these reopening games will go well with an index fund in your retirement account.”

A Berkshire Hathaway spokesman did not immediately return a request for comment.

Oxford Movie Pageant readies for hybrid format | Arts & Leisure

OXFORD • Whether it’s a personal screening or a virtual panel discussion, the Oxford Film Festival 2021 is ready to bring audiences and film fans back together.

The 18th season of the festival, a mix of virtual and live formats, opens next week. It starts with personal screenings from March 24-28 in the Oxford Commons area in two specially designed open-air circus tents, the Malco Outdoor Cinema and a special drive-in at Oxford High School. From April 1st to April 30th, virtual cinema screenings will be offered worldwide through Eventive.

The festival had previously announced an impressive series of in-person and virtual panels and parties to bring everyone back together safely and continue to virtually open the popular film festival to nationwide, national and international audiences. The festival went fully online last year after the arrival of COVID-19 and then continued with drive-in theater performances in Oxford.

This year’s schedule features 158 films, including 33 feature films, 115 short films, 19 music videos and 11 projected works of art. Five scripts will be selected for an audience vote for $ 1,000 and mentored by producer John Norris (“Ma”, “Get On Up”).

“We want to make it very clear what aggressive steps we are taking to make our film festival safer so that our customers can enjoy the film experience again in the company of other people,” said Managing Director Melanie Addington. “So we are very careful with a measured approach using the open air theater specially designed for this purpose – with safety always first so that we can all enjoy one of the best film groups we have ever been in had this year.
