Marie Kondo is pregnant.
The ‘Tidying Up’ star revealed that she and her husband Takumi Kawahara are expecting their third child, a sibling for daughters Satsuki and Miko.
Marie shared a photo of her growing bump on Instagram and titled the picture: “I’ve got news! Another bundle of joy on the way. (Heart Emoji)”
Her husband, whom she married in 2012, shared the announcement on his Instagram story, adding, “Thank you very much !!”
The 36-year-old lifestyle guru was inundated with messages of congratulations on her contribution.
Drew Barrymore wrote: “CONGRATULATIONS !!!!! I wish you so much joy! And health and love !!!!!!!!! (sic)”
Miranda Kerr wrote, “So happy to you and your family, congratulations.”
And Ayesha Curry simply added: “Congratulations.”
Marie previously admitted that she let her “perfectionist” tendencies slide off since the birth of her children.
She said, “I used to be a perfectionist, but it became difficult to maintain that standard after I had my children. So much was out of my control.
“I hope my openness in this area will help others relax impossible standards,” Kondo continued. “I gave up perfectionism some time ago!”
And the writer of “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up” admitted that her kids won’t clean up alone.
However, she added, “But they will if I ask!
“We make it a daily exercise and clean up at the end of the day.”
Marie is not worried when her children “have tantrums” and does her best to find out why they are behaving.
She said, “It’s natural for children to have tantrums – when they do, they do it!”
“I take the time to listen. Once they have calmed down, I ask them what’s bothering them and to let them know that I understand I say, ‘That made you sad’ or ‘You didn’t to like.’ I try to honor their feelings. “
