Man sentenced to four years for capturing 2 with assault-style rifle at Schererville park | Crime and Courts

Ransom had three crime convictions and was on parole at the time of the Schererville shooting for illegally carrying a gun in Illinois, Villarreal said.

Picking up a fight he was not involved in, he brought a gun and caused life-threatening injuries to two people, she said.

A teenager enlisted Ransom’s help after agreeing to fight a 19-year-old man. Ransom’s 19-year-old and teenage girlfriend wanted to date the same woman who, according to court records, wasn’t interested in either.

Witnesses described the gun that Ransom used to shoot the 19-year-old and his 19-year-old friend as an “Uzi-esque” rifle, Villarreal said. Five other people at the scene were not injured.

The gun was never recovered and Ransom refused to provide a statement to police after he was arrested, she said.

“He didn’t even know these people,” said Villarreal. “He just had a total disregard for her life.”

Villarreal read a victim impact statement from the 19-year-old who had an argument with Ransom’s boyfriend about the woman.

He wrote that he almost lost his leg after a bullet ripped through one of his legs into the other.

When the man was “hanging by a thread” with his leg, he looked over and saw that his friend was being loaded into an ambulance. The friend now has a bullet next to his spine, Villarreal said.

Blachowicz Needs Jon Jones Struggle Compares His Type To Adesanya

The light heavyweight champion, Jan Blachowicz, is ready for Jon Jones Keeping his promise after knocking out Corey Anderson some time ago and believes the fight would look similar to the one he just had with the middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

Overall, it seemed like Blachowicz and Jones were dating as the champ continued to graduate contenders, but that eventually stopped. After much discussion, the light heavyweight king decided to vacate his belt and move up to heavyweight to compete. After a while it passed UFC President Dana White admitted Jon Jones would most likely get the title shot as his first fight in the new weight class.

For a while, Jones became calm and slowly preparing for his new weight class, but now, having seen the Polish champions perform, he needs to be at least a little interested. After all, the fight was a technical masterclass and was ultimately won late in the championship rounds based on combat IQ.

Also, Blachowicz thought that if the two of them stepped into the ring, the fight would look a lot like the fight against Israel Adesanya.

“I don’t know right now. If UFC sends me the contract and I fight Jon Jones, me and my team will find a way to beat him, ”said Blachowicz Just scrap radio on “Of course I would try to take him out, but I think it would be a similar fight to mine with Israel.”

Apparently the Polish champions are ready to defend their belt again. However, some competitors deserve shots, such as: Glover Teixeira Maybe we’ll see this pairing soon. If Jones had plans to lose weight again, it would have to be something big, and at this point Blachowicz is not adding to Jones’ legendary status as a second belt would.

Who would you like to see Jan Blachowicz next in the cage? Let us know in the comment section below!

Lana Del Rey’s Fashion Evolution, From California Pop Star to Bewitching Songstress

Since its outbreak year 2011 Royal wool has always been a contradiction in terms of both subversive musical influences and contrasting fashion choices. The self-proclaimed “Gangsta Nancy Sinatra” has become synonymous with a pink, heavily whipped Old Hollywood fascination. Sometimes mingling with a fur coat or a bold cat’s eye, the singer is a mix of the sultry glamor of Priscilla Presley and the casual, cool Californian girl. There are nearly 900 square feet of the dance floor, an amazing handcrafted oil derrick, and several bars inside. A mirror-covered saddle hangs high above the dance floor and is covered with more than 7,000 tiny mirrors.

Motorola’s Prepared For brings a DeX-style desktop to the Edge Plus

Motorola is expanding its Edge Plus flagship phone with a new desktop computer interface called Ready For. Similar to Samsung DeXWith Ready For, users can connect their smartphone to a larger screen (using either a USB-C to USB-C or a USB-C to HDMI cable) so that the Edge Plus (and presumably future Motorola Phones) can be used as a computer or even a set-top box alternative.

The company actually has four different use cases for Ready For. At the simplest level, users can convert the Edge Plus into a mobile desktop computer setup with a bluetooth mouse or keyboard – much like DeX.

Motorola also has more interesting ideas for using the Edge Plus. Another transforms the Edge Plus into a video conferencing station, for example, which uses the smartphone’s superior cameras (either the 108-megapixel main lens or the 16-megapixel ultrawide lens) for a better video chat experience.

There are also entertainment options. Gamers can pair a controller and use the Edge Plus as a makeshift console, either for native mobile games like Fortnite or with game streaming services like xCloud. Users can also plug in their phone as an easily portable set-top box. Motorola intends to connect the Edge Plus to a TV in the hotel room, for example, so that when you travel you can access all of the streaming apps already registered without having to worry about your room’s WiFi setup.

Ready For (or DeX) is not the first attempt at turning a smartphone into a computer. Cell phone history is littered with past attempts, how canceled Palm Foleo or Motorola’s own The Atrix 4G LapDock accessories. And while Motorola’s use cases here are a little ambitious (and perhaps a little optimistic about the number of users routinely using HDMI-to-USB-C cables), there are certainly more creative ideas for converting a phone into a bigger screen a half-hearted desktop computing experience.

The Motorola Ready For experience will be available to Edge Plus users on Verizon starting today.
