Atlantic Metropolis’s Borgata brings again reside leisure at 50% capability

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) – Live entertainment is officially back on Thursday Borgata in Atlantic City.

The hotel and casino are starting the return of in-person shows featuring a range of comedic talent set to perform on the Borgata Comedy Club stage at The Music Box.

“We’re so excited to have the opportunity to bring back entertainment long overdue,” said Melonie Johnson, president and COO of Borgata. “We couldn’t wait and are very excited, but we wanted to do it right, so in a safe way.”

From Thursday through June 5, each show will feature three consecutive headlines of prestigious comics with shows.

It’s been over a year since the doors closed and the stages went dark and they’re happy to slowly and safely turn those lights back on.

This initial entertainment phase enables 50% of the room capacity with a maximum of 250 guests

“Right now we’re still within six feet of social distance,” said Johnson. “It restricts what we can and can’t do based on the cost of the show. As long as we have these restrictions, we will continue to do smaller acts to entertain our guests.”

Borgata plans to add more entertainment and bigger shows once the restrictions are lifted.
