Blake Shelton will release his first album in four years, Body Language, on May 21st.

The country star unveiled his 2017 follow-up to ‘Texoma Shore’ in which he worked with his fiancée and pop megastar Gwen Stefani on ‘Happy Anywhere’.

Blake said in a statement, “We have been working on this album for two years and I am very proud of what we have put together.

“We certainly had some unique challenges with the pandemic, but we also had a lot of fun. We explored new sounds and made sure we got to a classic country. “

Meanwhile, Gwen recently admitted she’s “crazy” that Blake won’t be writing songs with her anymore.

The ‘Slow Clap’ hitmaker previously wrote three tracks with the ‘God’s Country’ hitmaker, but the 44-year-old singer isn’t enjoying the process so she can’t persuade him to join her for more writing sessions.

She said this month, “I wish he would write with me, but he doesn’t really write anymore. And we actually wrote three songs together – we wrote a Christmas carol together, and then we wrote two other songs.

“But he just doesn’t like to write that much, it makes me so angry.”

But the 51-year-old singer appreciates Blake’s opinion, and he has helped her choose the best of her latest crop of unreleased songs, believing his experience coaching “The Voice” gave him a “really good ear for hits.” to have. .

She added, “Yesterday Blake and I sat down and listened to every song that had a lot of songs in it, and just put our favorite stars after which ones. We’re definitely bouncing off each other.

“When you’re on this show, you’re around music and you really know how to choose music. That’s why I rely on him a lot for his tastes. He knows all of the genres from this show. He has a really good ear for it Hits or just songs we all like. “Definitely lean on him a lot.”
